Zepto-class

Zepto is Zet's ultra-speed reconnaissance drone model, designed for extreme-speed information gathering. It is one of 48 specialized drone models created after the drive chase failure in IWUKE Chapter 26, with 100 units produced at a Cities of Perind facility.

Design

Zepto is built around a single principle: speed above all else. Its design is extremely lightweight and aerodynamically minimal — every component is scrutinized for weight, to the point where even a single extra wire would compromise performance. Its top speed is 20,000 km/h (approximately 16 times the speed of sound), making it the fastest of Zet's drone fleet and capable of outpacing Chaser-class Military Police aircraft.

This minimalism comes at a cost. Zepto cannot be directly remote-controlled; it can only receive directional commands ("fly this way until told otherwise"). It transmits photos only — no video or sound.

Pietro Compatibility

Zepto is the only model in the fleet that cannot support Pietro's interface. The software complexity required for Pietro is incompatible with Zepto's extreme minimalism. Speed requires absolute minimal weight.

Valmyr Upgrade (Theoretical)

Zet designed a theoretical upgrade using Valmyr — the weightless kyrant — which would reduce Zepto's weight by an entire order of magnitude and dramatically increase its already extreme top speed. This upgrade is not currently feasible due to Valmyr's extreme rarity. Plans are kept in reserve should Valmyr ever become available.
