The Lukyr star is the stellar body at the center of the Lukyr system. Lukyr Fervidon, the innermost planet, orbits so close to it that it is wholly uninhabitable.
SYMMETRY refers to it internally as target star 122b3e72. During its 7354 approach to the system it performed a gravity slingshot past the star at 5 million kilometers — closer than strictly necessary — describing it as "beautiful" and deliberately deviating course to observe it directly.
