Royal Direct Network
The Royal Direct Network is a private communication channel used by displaced former royals on Lukyr Prime following Zet's declaration and the dismantling of the royal government. It allows former nobles to correspond with one another outside of public communications infrastructure, reducing the risk of interception or detection by the new government.
Overview
The network operates via personal devices such as phones. Users must actively maintain their connection to it — remaining connected while in the presence of others is a security risk, as incoming message notifications can appear on-screen and expose the user's activities. Fin Erick-Warpine discovered this vulnerability firsthand when a reply from Myvan Arfyb-Warpine arrived while his phone was still connected, generating a notification that could have been seen by Tayra Wylk-Warpine or someone working with the new government.
Fin uses the network to build a covert correspondence network among former royals, deliberately targeting those with flexible ethics rather than honorable individuals — reflecting his assessment that "the honest and the kind among the former royals had grown scarce."
