Royal Palace
The Royal Palace is the seat of imperial power on Lukyr Prime, home to Emperor Rovin Warpine and the site of critical government meetings. In 7354, it served as the location for the roundtable meeting where Styvin Fring-Warpine commanded Tomas and other scientists to intercept SYMMETRY.
Architecture and Features
Roundtable Meeting Rooms
The palace contains multiple roundtable meeting rooms with distinctive architectural design. The very shape of the room is designed to carry voices with immense power — when Styvin Fring-Warpine's announcer spoke, the room amplified his voice dramatically.
Rooms have many seats (half were empty during the SYMMETRY meeting, waiting for government officials to arrive).
Integrated Train System
Palace hallways seamlessly transition into train stations — the transition is so sudden it causes whiplash. Tomas experienced this when following Miran Keldt from a meeting room into what became a train station almost without warning.
Small trains can be summoned by pressing buttons. They provide the illusion of privacy (though conversations are certainly monitored). The trains connect to:
- Royal Research Guild headquarters (border between educational and government districts)
- Regional spaceport (via private station)
- Other palace locations (extent unknown)
Role in Government
The palace is where imperial authority is exercised. In 7354, it served as the location for:
- High-level crisis meetings (SYMMETRY's approach)
- Mission briefings for critical operations
- Demonstrations of imperial power (Styvin freezing the young scientist)

Year 7354 — SYMMETRY Response Meeting
Roundtable assembly (Chapter 3): Scientists who had been monitoring SYMMETRY's approach via The Glowing Element were summoned to the palace. Tomas and others sat at roundtables, waiting for government officials.
Styvin's arrival: Styvin Fring-Warpine (1st Commander of the Royal Brigade, great-grandson of the Emperor) entered with full ceremonial announcement. The room's architecture amplified the announcer's voice. Styvin commanded Tomas to leave Lukyr in service of the Emperor.
The frozen scientist: When a young scientist attempted to withdraw from the mission, Styvin froze him in place with an unknown ability — demonstrating imperial power and deterring dissent.
Miran's briefing: Miran Keldt (High Commander of the Royal Research Guild) took over to explain mission details.
Train system: After the briefing, Miran led Tomas through a hallway that seamlessly transitioned into a train station. They boarded a small train to the regional spaceport.
