An Appeal to the Royal Courts

Honored Royal Judges,

My name is Lord Aaron Carnick, the First Commander of the Lukyr Prime Military and the Lord Commander of the Lukyr Empire. I am writing to you today in my capacity as Lord Commander. My trusted friend and colleague, Imperial Minister of Heritage, Frederick Korough, has co-written this document and assisted me with the relevant research.

It is with great regret that I must appeal the fitness to rule of His Majesty Emperor Qyvin Warpine, 16th King of Lukyr.
Attached, you will find a collection of notarized recordings of Qyvin Warpine’s utterances in the throne room on the morning of September 26th. You will also find a notarized transcript of the same.

I would draw your attention to two utterances in particular:

“When we should have defeated the Final Rebellion” (Quote confirmed)
“How [...] was a usurper better than me?” (In Reference to King Toven the Liberator, Quote confirmed)

You will notice that both of those statements seek to question the legitimacy of King Toven Warpine’s assumption of the throne in 7629. This creates a paradox, whereby if the Courts choose to accept the Emperor’s stance and rule accordingly, as the constitution would demand, he has invalidated his very own claim to the throne, his legitimacy being based on his succession of Toven Warpine.

Should, however, the Courts choose to disagree with the utterances made, as reason would demand, this puts into question our Emperor’s trustworthiness - having uttered a statement ruled, by the Royal Courts, to be incorrect - his political stance, having aligned himself with Lukyr’s tyrannical past, and quite frankly, the state of his mental faculties.

Either way, we trust the honorable Judges will find him to be unfit for rule and will, in accordance with the constitution of the Lukyr Empire, unseat him at once.
