Lukyr Fervidon
Lukyr Fervidon is the innermost planet of the Lukyr system, orbiting so close to the star that it is considered wholly uninhabitable — unlike Lukyr Prime, which requires the Shade to be livable, Fervidon is beyond any practical remedy. It has no known use or population.
Discovery
Fervidon went undiscovered for a notably long time. Its extreme proximity to the star makes visual detection nearly impossible — the star's intense light washes it out under most observational conditions. It was eventually identified, but the exact date and circumstances of its discovery are not established in available sources.
Characteristics
- Orbit: Extremely close to the star Lukyr — closer than Prime's already-close orbit
- Habitability: Wholly uninhabitable; no known mitigation (the Shade solution that enabled Prime would be insufficient at this distance)
- Detection: Difficult to observe visually against the star's glare
Open Questions
- When exactly was Fervidon discovered, and by whom?
- Has it ever been approached for resource extraction, despite the extreme conditions?
- Could Fervidon's extreme proximity to the star make it relevant to Kyrants research or exotic material formation?
- Does its existence complicate solar observation or the Shade's orbital mechanics?
