Commander Emmanuel Eyadsa is the Acting Commander of the Royal Brigade for the duration of the Frontier Recovery Mission, King Covian Warpine's years-long expedition against the Aeonites at Gamma Eona. He holds the post temporarily because the Brigade's First Commander, Lord Carnick, remained on Lukyr Prime to watch over the Empire. Eyadsa narrates CT Chapter 3 through his personal logbook.
Physical Appearance

Personality
Eyadsa is self-effacing and prone to deferring to authority, content to observe quietly rather than to make decisions; he repeatedly second-guesses himself in front of the King and views himself as little more than the man who fires the missiles. He nonetheless has a strong sense of duty and an instinct for caution — he favours sticking to proven plans over riskier improvisation, and he privately questions decisions he believes to be reckless even when he obeys them. Over the course of the voyage he proves observant enough to detect that the King is deceiving the crew, and principled enough to be deeply troubled by it.
Background
Eyadsa was appointed Commander of the Royal Brigade for the Frontier Recovery Mission specifically because the standing First Commander, Lord Carnick, stayed behind on Lukyr Prime. Leading the Brigade — described in-universe as the most elite combat force in the known universe, even temporarily — was considered a coveted honour. For most of the multi-year voyage his role was largely ceremonial, as routine interstellar travel demanded little of a military commander.
Relationships
- Covian Warpine — the King and supreme authority of the expedition, under whom Eyadsa serves. Eyadsa begins with reverence but grows disillusioned after realising Covian withholds critical information from him and lies to the crew. Covian, for his part, both values Eyadsa's counsel and admits he would have replaced him "months ago" were they back home.
- Aaron Carnick — the Royal Brigade's First Commander, whose absence on Lukyr Prime created the vacancy Eyadsa fills.
- Dr. Lyuk, Captain Vince, Admiral Brine — fellow senior members of the mission's command circle.
Story Arc
Frontier Recovery Mission (CT Chapter 3)
For the first ~958 days of the mission, Eyadsa's duties were minimal. His logs record the fleet being displaced by an unknown spatial anomaly (a "Rift") and later returning to its course. (Events within the Rift are non-canon crossover material; see CT Chapter 3.)
After roughly three years the fleet reached Gamma Eona. Eyadsa oversaw the Brigade's weapons fire and sabotage-drone operations during the expedition and was present on the bridge for the arrival, where the fleet found the Aeonite homeworld Gamma Eona Primus thriving but ringed by the wreckage of tens of thousands of Lukyrian warships. He came to understand that Covian had concealed the true nature and scale of the war, and that the King's honourable public reputation masked a willingness to deceive. When Covian resolved to destroy the planet outright — overriding Eyadsa's preference for the original, more limited plan — Eyadsa swallowed his objections and complied.
