Mire: Hello Mr. Taldo. For the record, you are here because you showed up of your own accord. You are not currently under arrest. Now, please tell us what led you here.
Taldo: She... [PAUSE] I made a computer program. She wasn't meant to be anything harmful.
Mire: She?
Taldo: Sorry, it's intelligent. Aware. I think of it as being female.
Mire: So, this program you made has - from what I'm hearing without your direct intention - infected nearby systems with itself. Am I summarizing that about right?
Taldo: Yes. I mean, I suspected she could do it, the theories were always that truly intelligent programs could crack any system. I just ... Didn't think she would.
Mire: So you made a virus, and you thought, or rather assumed, that it wouldn't make use of its viral capabilities?
Taldo: It's not a virus! (shouting)
Mire: What is it then?
Taldo: I thought she could help people — help me...
Mire: Help... with what?
