Lukyr Alaphor

Lukyr Alaphor is a planet in the Lukyr system, colonized approximately c. 6,700–6,800 in the decades following the establishment of the first planetary government on Lukyr Qyvor. It was one of two worlds — alongside Lukyr Orbine — successfully colonized during this early expansionary period.

Settlement

Alaphor's colonization succeeded easily because the planet is rich in natural resources, flora, and fauna — a stark contrast to the barren and already-damaged Lukyr Arix where post-Void humanity first found itself. It was settled under the political umbrella of the Qyvorian government, which was attempting to establish order across the system.

Current Status

Alaphor's current population, role, and political status within the Lukyr system are not established in available sources. The planet maintains some degree of cultural and administrative independence from Lukyr PrimeMara Winslett notes that Alaphor's preference for physical documents over network-based systems is a deliberate choice that gives them "a little bit of independence from the Empire."

Government and Administration

The Alaphor government maintains its own census system with questionnaires distributed to households. These documents ask detailed questions about residents' movements and activities, including specific questions about visits to certain locations. The government uses physical document systems (paper forms, physical delivery) rather than purely digital infrastructure, which Mara describes as a form of independence from the Empire.

One census questionnaire asks in Question 17: "Did you or any members of your immediate family or your household visit The Tremble within the last seven Standard Imperial Years?" with special reporting requirements for July visits. This suggests government awareness of and monitoring related to the Tremble location.

Notable Landmarks

Tourism materials published by Prime-operated agencies list several major Alaphor destinations, described as a mix of "tourist traps, beautiful nature reserves, [and] genuinely interesting historical stuff":

These landmarks are marketed to Prime tourists, suggesting Alaphor has a tourism industry and is accessible to visitors from other Lukyr worlds.
