The Core were one of the major military factions opposing Rovin Warpine's seizure of the Lukyr system around 6907–6911. They were effectively destroyed during his rise to power, with 771,931 members killed — the second-highest death toll among Rovin's pre-Empire opponents after The Motherworlders.
Role in the Pre-Empire Conflict
The Core were among several groups contesting control of Lukyr before Rovin declared the Lukyr Empire. The Chronicle does not record their ideology, origin, or goals beyond their opposition to Rovin's ascent.
Destruction
By the time Rovin declared himself Emperor in 6911, The Core had been "all but eradicated." Their destruction, alongside that of The Motherworlders, The Dredgers, and defecting Void Order members, left only The Science Guild as meaningful opposition.
