The Wasp (Arix Theta-7)

One of Lukyr Arix's "cities" — actually an amalgamation of factories built in one of the few surface zones stable and habitable enough for large-scale construction. Officially designated Arix Theta-7; colloquially called The Wasp due to the yellow-and-dark-gray color scheme of its largest building, the ySteel production plant.

Geography

Located north of the Living Caves. Visible from suborbital craft, the ySteel plant is described as "gigantic, dark gray, yellow-accented" and dominates the city's skyline. The facility includes surface-level factories and underground prison levels.

Function

The Wasp serves as a major industrial hub for ySteel operations. Kynon Bancroft was contracted to repair an AX400 CSP-4 production machine at the ySteel plant in SFL-TE Chapter 1. The facility processes materials, manufactures components, and houses both workers and prisoners.

Underground, the facility includes detention areas where prisoners are held in carved rock chambers with magnetic restraint cuffs (see Lukyr Arix for details).

Open Questions

• How many factories constitute The Wasp, and what do they produce?
• What is the total worker and prisoner population?
• Who governs Arix Theta-7 — ySteel directly, or a nominal municipal authority?
