The Final Rebellion was a military coalition of multiple underground resistance groups united under Toven Warpine that overthrew Rovin Warpine's 747-year rule in 7627. Toven coined the name as a declaration: this would be "not only the first major rebellion of Lukyr, but would also be the last."
Formation
The coalition brought together multiple pre-existing underground resistance groups with varying military strength, each lacking a legitimate claimant to place on the throne. Toven Warpine supplied that legitimacy — as a distant (19-generation) heir to Rovin's line, he held a legal claim. Groups joined his coalition, initially treating him as a symbolic figurehead before he consolidated genuine leadership. For Toven's personal path to the coalition and its leadership, see Toven Warpine.
The Uprising (7627)
In 7627, the Rebellion launched coordinated surgical strikes on key infrastructure points across Lukyr Prime, crippling the Lukyr Empire's ability to respond while avoiding civilian casualties. The operation culminated in the assassination of Rovin Warpine on December 2, 7627 at 21:18. For Toven's personal role and the assault's operational details, see Toven Warpine and Rebellion of 7627.
Aftermath
Following the assassination, Toven Warpine declared himself King. Soldiers of The Final Rebellion deemed trustworthy were integrated into a weakened Royal Brigade, supplementing the minority of the original Brigade willing to serve the new King.
Legacy
The Final Rebellion's tunnel infrastructure, built for the operation, remained in active use over 400 years later — used by Zet and Zeni for covert movement between underground cities in the IWUKE period (8044).
