They are associated with extreme wealth and political power, representing a form of privilege that is technically criminal but apparently accessible to those with sufficient resources.

Known Users

Bal Hensy — Minister of Communication, is illegally 146 years old as a result of youth drug use. His true age is a secret; Zet discovers this during the Chapter 6 infiltration of his estate. Eldon Wynter — The high-ranking official who ordered the Records Agency explosion owns a pure Valmyr ring, another indicator of extreme wealth. Whether he also uses youth drugs is unconfirmed, but his profile is consistent with that demographic.

Youth drugs are explicitly illegal ("illegally 146 years old"), yet Bal Hensy holds a ministerial position. This implies either:

World-Building Significance

Youth drugs point to a deep class divide on Lukyr Prime: ordinary citizens age and die naturally, while the powerful extend their lives indefinitely through illegal means. This parallels other systemic corruption Zet has uncovered — the Health Agency bribery scheme, the INI-Experiments cover-up — as evidence that Lukyr Prime's institutions protect the privileged at everyone else's expense.
